So for the second cheez-it test tasting time, we tried the flavor "Baby Swiss". First of all, we had to figure out exactly what Baby Swiss was. So, I went to the Wikipedia site of Baby Swiss in order to learn what it was. For everyone's information, Baby Swiss is a flavor similar to that of Swiss, but not the same. The flavor is not as strong...and that was really apparent as we test-tasted Baby Swiss. Deiter said that the Baby Swiss flavor was not as good as the Original flavor. Ashley believed that it tasted almost like plastic. Everyone liked the box design, but not the flavor. As Ricky said: "It's a party on the box, but not in my mouth." One of the only compliments that Baby Swiss received the whole night was Mary-Kate's. She said that she liked Baby Swiss cheez-its more than she likes real Swiss cheese. A late-comer to the test tasting, Margarita really liked them. She was alone. Ashley said that usually with regular cheez-its she says "om nom I want some more, but not with this flavor".
I didn't hate them, but they didn't have enough flavor for my taste. The only way I got enough flavor was when I ate multiple crackers at the same time. Cheez-its, in my opinion, need to have a flavor that is overpowering and delicious. It needs to pack a punch, not slowly enter the party. I give this flavor of Cheez-it a 3. Not the best, but good for those who don't like a strong flavor.
The wines were good. I was drinking Bully Hill Dry Table Wine, a gift from my parents. Delicious! Good with anything! Everyone else was drinking Tisdale Cabernet Sauvignon. They enjoyed it. As Ricky says - it was good for the $4 spent on the wine.
So, overall, a good night!
Wine and Cheez-its
The one goal I have during my senior year of college (besides graduating) is to try all of the different types of cheez-its. Follow me in my journey of drinking wine and eating cheez-its.

Cheez-it Taste Testing Time #1.
For my first taste testing I decided that I had to go with what started it all: original. Well, I don't know for sure if it actually started it all, but it's a safe assumption to make.
I ate the original flavored cheez-its with two of my suite-mates, Deiter and Ashley (their names have been changed in order to protect their identity). When I first opened the box we all just sat there smelling that delicious baked cheese smell. Ahhhhh, how even the smell of cheez-its fills me with joy.
When it was time to try our first cheez-it, we did so tentatively. Deiter was taking small bites, as she usually does, in order to fully grasp the flavor. Personally, I just stuck the whole thing in my mouth. It was...DELICIOUS. Did I expect anything different? No. I've eaten the original cheez-it too many to count, but actually thinking about the flavor made me so much more aware of the deliciousness I was consuming.
I personally enjoy the aftertaste of an original cheez-it, and I wasn't alone. Deiter commented about the joy she felt when there was still some flavor left on her lips. She also enjoyed the flakiness of the texture as she chomped down on a crunchy cheez-it. Ashley agreed as well. After I recommended my favorite way to eat cheez-its - putting four in your mouth at a time, two on each side - Ashley said, with such happiness - "What flavor!"
What other way to sum up my love for original cheez-its besides the statement "What flavor!"? I personally enjoy the way the cheez-it flavor just filled up my mouth. I never want to taste anything again, besides cheez-its.
I give the original cheeze-it a 9.3 out of 10. I love the original, and I may re-evaluate after trying other flavors. What would you rank the original flavor as on a scale from 1-10, with 10 being the best?

Drawing.
In class today, my friend Sean decided to draw a picture of someone eating a massive cheez-it...and drinking wine. Enjoy!

Question.
So, before I start my critique (and eating) of various flavors of cheez-its, I'd like to hear your favorites! Which flavor do you turn to when you're happy? Which flavor do you turn to when you're sad? Which flavor do you not like very much?
I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about the various flavors of cheez-its before I tell you what I think about them myself! Leave your comments and I'll be sure to reply!

Discontinued?
Did you know that cheez-its has discontinued some of it's flavors? It will be one of my goals (within this larger goal) to try to get my hands on some of these flavors. Unfortunately, they would probably be quite stale if I tried them.
Here's the list of the discontinued flavors. If you know of where I might find some, let me know!
- Baked Snack Crackers BBQ Cheddar
- Cheesy Sour Cream & Onion
- Crisps Cheddar Crunch
- Crisps Four Cheese
- Duoz Zesty Queso and Cheddar Blanco
- Fiesta Cheddar Nacho
- Fiesta Cheesy Taco
- Fiesta Chile Queso
- Stix Cheddar
- Stix White Cheddar
- Krispy Fat Free
Some of them I don't think I'd want to try...but some of them I totally would. But, it's still amazing to think that cheez-it would discontinue a product. A little heartbreaking, actually. Hopefully that doesn't happen to any of the flavors before I try them!
